We are also very proud to be the leading publisher of transport books and are pleased to announce some extremely exciting forthcoming titles in this area of our portfolio. During September, October and November of 2009 we have publishing four new transport titles covering a wide range of topics.
The first of these new releases published in September is the second edition of the 'Handbook of Road Safety Measures', this edition of the handbook provides a systematic overview, through state-of-the-art summaries, of current knowledge regarding the effects of 128 road safety measures. Covering all areas of road safety it is authoritative and unique in its broad coverage and serves as a comprehensive reference manual for road safety professionals worldwide. October saw the publication of 'Transport Survey Methods – Keeping Up with a Changing World', which focuses on providing potential solutions and recommendations for the world community of transport survey specialists to help them address the new challenges they face. Also published in October was 'The Expanding Sphere of Travel Behavior Research', these proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Travel Behavior Research, held in Kyoto, Japan, in August 2006, examine key issues and emerging trends in the expanding field of travel behavior research. They provide authoritative, state-of-the-art assessments for graduate students as well as researchers and practitioners. In November Emerald Books has published 'Pedestrian Behaviour: Models, Data Collection and Applications' which highlights new and innovative developments in research and modelling approaches and demonstrates the applied potential of models of pedestrian behaviour. Chapters written by leading scholars representing different modelling approaches and fields of application clearly document the analysis and modelling of pedestrian movement patterns.
